English Chapel of Antananarivo

A quiet place to worship, together, in the heart of the city.

We gather each Sunday as a community of believers — from Madagascar and from every continent — growing together as disciples of Jesus Christ.

— OUR VISION

Our Vision

What we are growing toward.

ECA is a dynamic community growing together to become true disciples of Jesus Christ — to truly love God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit with all our heart, mind and soul — being transformed by the Word of God, to make disciples of all nations.

Rhythms of the community

Three threads woven through every week.

These are not programs — they are how the chapel breathes. Each one opens a door for members and newcomers alike.

Sharing the Gospel and serving through social and development activities that glorify God in Antananarivo and beyond.

Training preachers

We are part of Langham Preaching.

On the first Sunday of every month our Ushirika meets — a fellowship of preachers who all prepare the same passage, hear one of their number preach it, and then sharpen each other on how the text was handled. Both Langham training manuals and our written review of every lesson are published free for any church that wants them.

The heartbeat of ECA

“We are not a club of the like-minded. We are a family of the redeemed — learning, week by week, to love God and each other well.”
